A Better Way to Travel.

AWAY Travel made their Canadian debut at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in the summer of 2020. This fast-growing luggage company topped sales of $48 million in a few short years and continues to innovate as the retail market shifts.

With a concept in hand, AWAY hired FIA to interpret their brand and messaging in a physical space that would inspire travel and exploration. The design features a storefront with digital ‘windows’ mimicking the view of clouds through an airplane window, a story board wall of post cards and ample move-able merchandising units for the company’s ever-growing line of products.

While the construction phase of the project was halted due to COVID-19, project management systems were tweaked to communicate remotely with the AWAY team in NYC - this strategy ensured that their vision was executed as envisioned and promised. The store opened with rave reviews!
